The local Tri-Party Missing From Home Service, delivered by WithYou, has received a 100% satisfaction rating.
The Tri-Party Missing From Home service is a commissioned statutory service, operating in line with the Pan Cheshire Missing from Home Protocol. Delivered by national charity WithYou, the service supports young people under the age of 18 who go missing from home and care across Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington, and Halton.
Surveying professionals, parents, carers and young people connected to the service, the overwhelmingly positive response reflects WithYou’s commitment to continuous improvement in delivering a quality and effective service to meet the needs of all children and young people across the Tri-Party footprint, as well as those of support networks and professionals.
Highlights from the survey include:
“We’re delighted with the findings of the survey and these responses acknowledge the work that our team delivers with unwavering compassion and professionalism. It’s important that we champion the continued need for a specialist, independent, trauma-informed response to missing episodes”.
Nikki Thorne, Cheshire Tri-Party Missing From Home Service Manager
Although the responses to the survey were wholly positive, WithYou strives for further development to the service to enhance the offer, including plans to increase delivery of direct work, as well as maintaining high levels of quality in RHIs and strong visibility and relationships with all agencies.
Feedback within the survey was shared anonymously. One respondent, a young person based in Warrington, provided direct feedback on their experience contacting the service:
"Thank you for letting me get that off my chest, I don't usually open up to people I don't know but I feel like you care. Thanks for listening and giving me a safe space. School can be hard sometimes. You've made me feel like I can give professionals a chance again".
The Tri-Party Missing From Home service has this month been awarded a 12 month contract extension from local authorities, securing the delivery of missing from home work across Halton, Warrington and Cheshire West and Chester until June 2026.
Nikki Thorne, Cheshire Tri-Party Missing From Home Service Manager, added:
“As we look ahead to another year of supporting some of the most vulnerable young people in our communities, we look forward to continuing to work closely with all partners to reduce risk to improve safety for our young people”.
