WithYou has been awarded a new contract to deliver drug and alcohol recovery services across all three areas of Glasgow, supporting thousands of people every year in their recovery.
Glasgow City Council has awarded the contract to the charity, which has held the North East and North West hub contracts since 2016, and has delivered community services in Glasgow since 2004.
From 23 September, WithYou will also take on the South Glasgow service, becoming the provider for the whole city for the first time.
The contract, worth almost £3m a year, will run until September 2030.
Glasgow has some of the highest rates of drug and alcohol harm in Scotland. National Records of Scotland data shows that people in the most deprived areas are 16 times more likely to die from drug misuse than those in the least deprived.
As part of the new contract, WithYou's three community recovery hubs in the North East, North West, and South of the city will offer face-to-face support, outreach, counselling, and harm reduction to people seeking help with drug and alcohol use.
The charity will also continue to run STARS (Support Treatment & Recovery Service), a support service available across all of Glasgow.

Ronnie Hart, advanced practitioner in WithYou’s Glasgow North East recovery hub, said:
"I've been in recovery for 11 years, and I've worked at WithYou's North East hub for nearly five of them. Recovery is possible, I'm living proof of that, and so are many of the people I work alongside every day.”
