What therapies we offer

With You offers a range of free, confidential talking therapies.

These therapies have all been proven to help with common mental health problems like stress, anxiety, low mood and panic.

We’ll decide together which therapy is best for you at your assessment. This will depend on the difficulties you’re experiencing and how severe they are.

We’re a flexible service. If you find one therapy isn’t working for you, we can discuss other options for you.

One-to-one therapies

These include:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – CBT is a talking therapy that helps you understand the link between your thoughts, emotions and behaviour. It uses practical techniques to challenge and change unhelpful patterns for better mental health.

Evidence shows it is effective for a wide range of problems, including stress, insomnia, anxiety and depression.

Counselling – counselling is a talking therapy that involves a trained therapist listening to you and helping you find ways to resolve emotional difficulties.

Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) – EMDR is a form of therapy used to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It helps people to process and overcome traumatic memories.

Silvercloud

Silvercloud is an online CBT programme that you can access any time from a phone, tablet or computer.

You choose the modules most relevant to you and work through them at your own pace.

There’s no waiting time for Silvercloud so you can start it straightaway.

How are therapies delivered?

You can access our therapies in different ways. It could be:

  • over the phone
  • through online video
  • through instant messaging

Please don’t worry if you aren’t confident with video calls or instant messaging.
