Belinda Phipps

Interim Chief Executive

Belinda Phipps is Interim Chief Executive. She is working with the Executive and wider leadership team to lead the organisation, deliver our strategy and ensure we maintain support for people throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Belinda has more than 27 years experience as a Chief Executive with an excellent track record of leading organisations to focus on the people they support. Her career has been in health and wellbeing where she has focused on outcomes, delivering compassionate, safe and effective care and an outstanding experience for service users.

Belinda is a Non-Executive Director at Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust, which has recently received its outstanding CQC rating. She has been chair of organisations such as the Fawcett Society, and Chief Executive of two NHS Trusts and a charity CEO for organisations including the National Childbirth Trust (NCT).

Hayley savage

Hayley Savage

Executive Director of Finance and Technology

Hayley is responsible for the management of the organisation's finances.

Hayley has worked in healthcare for 20 years. Prior to joining, she worked at HCA Healthcare UK as the Chief Financial Officer for Labs and Physician Services.

Dr Paul Hughes

Executive Medical Director

Paul is responsible for leading clinical governance, quality and supervision throughout the organisation. He ensures that we take advantage of new developments in clinical care in order to provide safe, effective clinical services.

Previously Paul had a 31 year medical career in the Royal Navy including a role as the Deputy Inspector General leading healthcare governance and as the Commanding Officer of Headley Court. In his last appointment he led the Defence Primary Healthcare organisation in the rank of Surgeon Commodore.

Paul has worked as a MRCGP Examiner, as a GP Specialist Adviser with the CQC and as a GP Appraiser for the NHS. In 2015, he was appointed Honorary Physician to Her Majesty the Queen.

Alexandra Borghesi

Company Secretary and Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Alexandra is responsible for the organisation’s corporate and legal governance, as well as information governance and risk management. She is the Executive Lead for Health and Safety.

After an early career in the United Nations, Alexandra found her vocation in corporate governance and has been a Company Secretary for over 15 years, working in regulated environments across many industries from banking to retail, healthcare, travel, childcare, automotive and the charity sector.

Over the years, Alexandra has held secretaryships in a number of Board committees such as Audit and Risk, Investment and Finance, Grant-Giving Community Fund and a few others. She is a director of two subsidiaries.

Alexandra is certified from the Chartered Governance Institute UK and Ireland, and she holds an MBA in Business Leadership and Management. She is also an ISO 17024-accredited EU GDPR Practitioner.

Alexandra is a Board Trustee of the Summit Learning Trust, which includes four primary and three secondary schools, and the 6th Form College in Solihull, providing education for almost 8000 children.

Andrew Horne

Executive Director of Scotland

Andrew is responsible for the delivery of services in Scotland.

Andrew has more than 30 years' experience in the drug and alcohol field and has worked for the organisation for 12 years. Andrew has degrees in Addiction Studies and Social Work Management.

John Murray

Jon Murray

Executive Director of Services, England

Jon is responsible for the delivery of services in England.

After a 13 year career in the RAF Regiment he joined the organisation in 2005 as a criminal justice drug worker. Jon previously held the position of Director of Operations, responsible for the performance and financial management of We Are With You’s services in the Midlands, London and the South East. He is also our Veterans programme lead (Right Turn) and is responsible for our Community Engagement offer across the organisation.

Sally Cornish

Interim Executive Director of Business Development

Sally is responsible for overseeing and leading the organisation’s New Business and Contract Retention team, and her role is to significantly increase the organisation’s contractual and voluntary income.

Sally brings a wealth of skills and expertise, having been an interim leader for a number of years, specialising in income generation and marketing in the charitable sector.

Sally has held leadership roles at a number of household charity brands such as Marie Curie, RSPCA, MacMillan and The British Museum.
