Support for young people

Whether you're seeking advice for yourself or are concerned about the drug or alcohol use of someone close to you, such as a parent, family member or friend, we'll make sure you get the right support.

How we can help

We know that everyone’s goals are different, whether that’s making small changes, stopping completely, or finding new ways to stay safe and healthy.

Our support is completely free, and we won’t tell anyone about anything you tell us without your permission. The only time this might change is if we have serious concerns about your own or someone else’s safety.

Support for families and concerned others

Our young people's service also includes support for family and concerned others. You'll find a warm, welcoming space where you can access non-judgemental support and advice from the WithYou in Wigan and Leigh team.

You don't have to come into one of our main buildings to access our family support, we work in community venues across Wigan and Leigh.

What's available to you

One-to-one support for young people aged 11-25 in Wigan & Leigh who are facing challenges with drugs and alcohol.

One of our Young Person's Workers will meet with you regularly to help you work through some of the things you are struggling with.

You can bring a parent or another person you trust, if you feel nervous about coming to see us.

Group work is helpful because it helps you learn from other people’s experiences and shows you that you are not alone. Many of the young people who work in our groups form strong bonds and friendships.

You'll work together with a small group of young people on a specific issue that you share. Your Young Person's Worker will talk to you about groups, to see if this is the right option for you.

Whether you've recently stopped or you'd like to cut down - our weekly online support group is a safe, non-judgemental space to talk, get advice, and connect with people who get it.
